Jonathon is a recent graduate of Griffith University, where he completed a Bachelor of Laws with First Class Honours. Throughout his studies, he received the Dean’s Award in 2023 and 2024, and was awarded the University Medal.
Before embarking on his legal career, Jonathon built a strong professional foundation as a laboratory technician in the pharmaceutical industry, while also serving for several years as a trade union delegate, advocating for the rights and interests of his colleagues in the workplace. This hands-on experience in representation and negotiation sparked his interest in the legal mechanisms that underpin employment relationships.
Motivated by these experiences, Jonathon commenced his law degree with a clear goal: to practise employment law. His background provides him with a unique perspective on workplace dynamics, combining practical industry insight with a strong academic grounding in legal principles. He is particularly interested in issues relating to workers’ rights, fair employment practices, and dispute resolution, and he is excited to fight the good fight for workers.
